A Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) is a basic safety inspection carried out by a Queensland-
authorised examiner to ensure that your vehicle meets the minimum safety standards set by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.
It confirms that your car is safe and fit to drive on public roads.

A roadworthy inspection focuses on key safety components such as tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, windscreen, lights, and structural integrity.
It doesn’t assess mechanical reliability or overall condition — only that the vehicle is safe for use.

In Queensland, an RWC is mandatory when:

Selling or transferring a registered vehicle
Re-registering a vehicle
Registering a used vehicle from interstate

1. How soon will the mechanic arrive after booking?

In most cases, a licensed qualified can arrive the same day or the next morning, depending on workload and your location.

2. How does the booking process work?

You can book an inspection online, by phone, or via SMS.
After we receive your request, we’ll confirm your booking by call or text, send you a secure payment link, and once payment is made, we schedule the visit time and location.

3. Where do you operate?

We service the entire Brisbane area, including Logan, Ipswich, Caboolture, Redcliffe, and surrounding suburbs.

We currently do not travel to the Gold Coast or Tweed Heads.

4. What do I need to do on the day of for the inspection?

Your vehicle should be parked on a flat surface and be reasonably clean.
No pit or hoist is needed — the mechanic brings all necessary tools and equipment.
Just make sure we have access to the vehicle and its keys.

5. How long is the RWC valid for?

Private sale: valid for 2 months or 2,000 km, whichever comes first.
Dealer / Trade licence: valid for 3 months or 1,000 km.

If the vehicle fails the inspection, you have 14 days to rectify the issues and request a re-inspection.

6. What if my vehicle fails the inspection?

You’ll receive a detailed report listing all defects.
After repairs, you can book a re-inspection within 14 days.
If the time limit expires, a new inspection must be booked.

7. What form is the certificate provided in?

The certificate is sent electronically via email (PDF), and the original record is submitted directly to the Queensland Transport Department (TMR).
No physical paper copy is required.

8. What vehicles can be inspected?

We inspect cars, 4×4s, utes, motorhomes, caravans, scooters and light commercial vehicles. We don’t cover heavy vehicles, trailers or mod plates.
